Kodak Black Returns with New Song ‘Every Balmain’
Just in time for Super Bowl weekend, Kodak Black is back with his new song “Every Balmain.”
On his second post-prison drop, the pardoned MC raps about the new Pomeranian puppy he bought his girlfriend, his love for Balmain (“I got every Balmain top”), and shouts out Tom Brady, while reflecting on post-prison life.
“Feel like the feds be watchin’ me everywhere I go, I’m paranoid / Still keep a .9 millimeter on me,” he raps before making it clear that he’s no snitch: “The police be asking ’bout murders and shit / I’m a stand-up ni**a / I’ll take me a sip.”
“Every Balmain” was released to celebrate the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV this Sunday. Both Kodak and Buccaneers linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul are from the Golden Acres projects in Pompano Beach, Fla., and both are of Haitian descendent.
The track arrives on the heels of “Last Day In,” which followed his prison release last month. In November, Kodak dropped his album Bill Israel featuring Gucci Mane, Tory Lanez, Lil Yachty, and more.
Last month, Donald Trump commuted Kodak’s 46-month prison sentence for federal weapons charges. A slimmed-down Kodak, who lost weight while in prison, celebrated his presidential pardon by hitting up a Miami club on Friday night wearing a diamond-covered face mask.
