Costa Titch Remembered As A Trailblazer On His Heavenly Birthday
Costa Titch Remembered As A Trailblazer On His Heavenly Birthday. The South African music community paused in unity to celebrate the life and lasting influence of one of its most electrifying talents. On what would have been Costa Titch’s 31st birthday, love and remembrance flooded social media, led by a touching tribute shared on the late star’s official Instagram page.

“Today we celebrate the rise, the energy, the movement. The legacy that doesn’t stop. Happy birthday Costa, your impact is still growing. 💚 forever in our hearts💚🕊️.” The post was accompanied by a video clip to honour the journey of Costantinos Tsobanoglou, known to the world as Costa Titch, the hip hop star and amapiano sensation.
Born on January 26, 1995, in Nelspruit, now known as Mbombela in Mpumalanga, Costa Titch rose rapidly through the ranks with a sound that fused amapiano rhythms, hip-hop flair, and explosive dance moves. Songs like “Big Flexa,” featuring C’buda and Alfa Kat, became cultural moments, dominating charts and dance floors while introducing international audiences to his unmistakable style.
His promising life and career were tragically cut short on March 11, 2023, when he collapsed on stage during a performance at the Ultra South Africa festival in Johannesburg. He was just 28 years old. Medical reports later confirmed that an irregular heartbeat led to a fatal seizure, with no signs of foul play or substance involvement.
Almost three years on, Costa Titch’s presence remains deeply felt. His fans, peers, and family continue to celebrate his spirit through posthumous releases, viral dance challenges, and merchandise linked to his beloved Titch Gang movement.
