Young Thug Teams With Future on New Collab ‘Money on Money’

Young Thug is back like he never left with the Future-assisted song, “Money on Money,” Thugger’s first single as a lead artist since being released from jail last October.

On Friday (April 25), Thugga made his official return to music as a free man via the track “Money on Money,” which is produced by Southside, Wheezy Outta Here and Dez Wright.

“Money on money, these millions, you dig?/Gon’ spend in this shit on my b**ch and my kids,” Thug raps on the chorus. “I’m sendin’ the Bent not the Benz/This motharf**ka pink slip, ni**a, no rent/I don’t want you gone or you’re nothin’ if I gotta be the one tellin’ you to spend/These f**k ni**as tellin’ for nothin’ and I gotta be the one callin’ ’em friends.”

Hendrix brings the same energy. “Spoiled little b**ch went petty/Rose gold snake, she a baddie/Transport foreign no salty/Dogging all these h*es like Shaggy,” he raps.

Thugger also released a music video for the song, which can be seen below. The visual appears to pay homage to Jay-Z and Ye’s “Otis” video, with scenes of the rappers dangerously whipping a vehicle around a dirt area filled with shipping containers.

Thugger has been teasing his return for the past several weeks. On March 25, he was spotted sitting courtside at a Miami Heat vs. Golden State Warriors showing off a jersey with the name “UY SCUTI” on the back. The name references one of the biggest stars in the known universe. Astute fans also noted that YT recently began following an Instagram account by the name of @uyscutiiiiii and the account was only following Young Thug. The name has since been revealed as the title to Thug’s new album.

On March 26, Young Thug shared a post on X further stoking the hype. “KING SPIDER THE BIGGEST STAR,” he tweeted. The next day, the uyscutiiiiii account shared its first post, a screenshot from Thug’s appearance at the NBA game along with the caption “Tonight.”

Fans were left hanging. Then a photo showing a UY Scuti billboard at Coachella earlier this month meant something official was on the way. The date for the album hinted at May, but no specific release date given. Thugger renewed hope last week when he officially announced the album and then this week promoted the new song on social media.

Young Thug Makes Music Return

Thug has been slowly working himself back into the swing of things. In January, he appeared on the Lil Baby song “Dum, Dumb and Dumber.” In March, he appeared on the Playboi Carti track “We Need All Da Vibes.”

This is Young Thug’s first solo song since he pleaded guilty in the YSL RICO case on Oct. 31, 2025, and was sentenced to time served and 15 years of probation. The Atlanta rapper has been in jail since May of 2022, when he and 27 other YSL affiliates were arrested in a large-scale RICO case in Georgia.

While this is Thug’s first solo release since his release, he dropped the album Business Is Business from behind bars, which featured Drake, Future, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott and others. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Last September, he was featured on the Nigo song “Dope Boy.”
