Lamiez Holworthy Shares Touching Story Behind The Birth of Her Son With Khuli Chana. South African DJ and media personality Lamiez Holworthy has opened up about the emotional and deeply personal journey that led to the birth of her son with rapper Khuli Chana, sharing heartfelt reflections as their child celebrates his third birthday.

In a touching social media post, Holworthy revealed that she recently watched the raw, unedited footage of the day she gave birth for the first time since the moment it happened. The experience moved her to tears as she relived the fear, gratitude and overwhelming sense of blessing that surrounded the birth of their son, Leano-Laone Zion Morule.
“I cried in disbelief,” she wrote, explaining that even years later she still struggles to fully process the magnitude of the blessing. Holworthy admitted that after experiencing a miscarriage earlier in life, she had quietly convinced herself that she might never have children.
That belief, she said, changed on her 30th birthday when she discovered she was expecting.
The media personality described the day of the delivery as both terrifying and miraculous. Preparing for a C-section, Holworthy recalled the anxiety she felt when doctors explained that a catheter needed to be inserted before surgery. The moment became even more daunting when she had to receive an epidural, a procedure that required her to remain completely still while a large needle was inserted into her spine.
Despite her many tattoos, Holworthy joked that injections remain one of her greatest fears. The tension escalated shortly before the procedure when she experienced a panic attack and struggled to breathe, fearing doctors might not be able to deliver her baby in time. Medical staff reportedly had to administer medication to calm her nerves.
Through it all, her husband Khuli Chana remained by her side.
Holworthy credited the rapper for helping her through the frightening moments before surgery, saying he held her hand and reassured her that everything would be alright. Shortly after 10 a.m., she finally saw her long-awaited child for the first time.
She humorously recalled that doctors, her husband and even the photographer caught the first glimpse of the newborn before she did. In typical playful fashion, Holworthy also joked about how much their son resembles his father, saying the only features he seems to have inherited from her are his head shape, hair and a small dimple.
Beyond the humour, the moment remains deeply spiritual for the couple.
Holworthy explained that the name Leano-Laone Zion Morule carries profound meaning for their family. According to her, the name symbolises God keeping His promise and reflects both divine grace and ancestral blessing.
“I’m a mom,” she wrote proudly, describing her son as the smartest, bravest and funniest little boy she knows. For Holworthy and Khuli Chana, the milestone marks not just another birthday but a reminder of a journey that transformed fear into faith and heartbreak into what she calls her “beautiful answered prayer.”
