Bravo Le Roux, born Sinesipho Peter on July 11, 1995, in the Eastern Cape and raised in Khayelitsha, Western Cape, was just 30 years old when he died in Switzerland on January 22, 2026. His family later confirmed through spokesperson Gcobani Ndzongana that he died by suicide, a revelation that has prompted calls for greater mental health awareness in South Africa’s creative industries.

Bravo Le Roux became known for his innovative blend of Xhosa lyricism with Afrikaans and English street slang.
