Saweetie and Doja Cat Team Up on ‘Best Friend’

Saweetie and Doja Cat join forces on their long-awaited collaboration “Best Friend.”

The rappers celebrate their bond on the empowering anthem, which leaked last month. Over slapping drums, Saweetie serenades her bestie. “That’s my best friend / She a real bad bitch / Drive her own car / She don’t need no Lyft,” she raps on the bouncy bop, which is bound for TikTok fame.

Along with the song, Saweetie has debuted a fun and feel-good video, directed by Dave Meyers, which finds her and Doja living their best bestie lives. They sunbathe together, twerk on top of an icy Tesla, and make it rain at the strip club. In the final scene, Saweetie convinces her bestie to jump off a cliff with her naked. “It’s my first time,” says a nervous Doja.

“Best Friend” follows Saweetie’s collaboration with Jhené Aiko, “Back to the Streets,” and the “Tap In” remix featuring DaBaby, Post Malone, and Jack Harlow. Both tracks arrive ahead of Saweetie’s upcoming debut album, Pretty B*tch Music, which features production from Danja, Lil Jon, Murda Beatz, and more.

Doja is also readying her new album, possibly titled Planet Her. She recently hinted at some of the collaborations including The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, SZA, and Saweetie.
